Adil Zulfikarpašić (1921-2008) Zulfikarpašić je rođen 1921. godine u Foči kao sin veleposjednika Husein-bega Zulfikarpašića, dugogodišnjeg gradonačelnika Foče i majke Zahide Zulfikarpašić koja je porijeklom iz fočanske plemićke porodice Čengić. Utemeljitelj i osnivač Bošnjačkog instituta Adil-beg Zulfikarpašić rođen je 23. decembra 1921. godine u Foči, kao potomak stare bosanske plemićke porodice bega Čengića. Iako je veći dio svog života proveo u emigraciji, ovaj istaknuti bosanskohercegovački i bošnjački intelektualac i političar svoju biografiju i sav svoj rad vezivao je Bosnu i Hercegovinu.
